Golf is fun

Posted by Stan @ 1:33 pm

Every time you are on the golf course and see those players cursing or throwing clubs, it really makes you think what is going on in their heads. Golf is fun and relaxing, and there is no reason to overreact because of a missed putt or sliced drive. You are not playing for the U.S. Open people, and even the professional golfers know how to keep their composure on the course when they are. Nothing beats getting the buddies together to hit the links and enjoy the weather and lose yourself in a world of green fairways. It goes in relation to the concept of buying what you need, not what you think you need because you are golfing to have fun and relax, not to save the world.

We watch golfers on TV and are probably thinking to ourselves, those guys are so calm for how much is on the line. Well we should all take a page from their book because it shows us the true meaning of golf, and that is what is so mind boggling to see players forget that. Im not saying you have to have no emotion when golfing, just to take a step back when you lose control and think to yourself just why you are on the golf course.

Buy what you need, not what you think you need

Posted by Stan @ 10:19 am

When it comes to buying golf equipment, it is important to realize what you really need as to what you think you need. A common mistake that average golfers make is seeing a PGA Pro using a particular club or type of equipment and they feel they have to get it. These products could be for you, but why should you waste money on something just because a certain player is using it? The only way to find out is to really look at what you need; you should be spending your money on what you want, not on something youre being sold on. Many times we see golfers go out and buy clubs because of the size of the head or on how other players play with that particular club. No golfers are the same, and so many elements come into play when determining an individuals golf game. While your friend or a PGA Pro can be tearing up the course with a particular product, chances are you wont have the same result. Regardless of if you are better or not, each player type must use th e equipment that truly suits their needs, not for the look or mentality that you need to go out and buy something because people swear by it. So next time you are at the store looking at new equipment, think about whether you are buying this because you need it or you need it.

Wie disqualified for amateur mistake

Posted by Stan @ 8:24 am

Michelle Wie was left devastated on Sunday after she was disqualified for breaking the games most basic rule she forgot to sign her scorecard. The 18 year old after finishing second on Friday and Saturday was just one round away from winning the State Farm Classic. She was seen leaving the Panther Creek Country Club in a SUV with her parents leaving behind Yani Tseng leading the tournament at 18 under followed by Katie Futcher, Hee-Won Han and Ji Young Oh. This truly shocked all fans as she was a favorite to win as she always is because of her popularity in the golf world. Fans have been looking for their PGA golf tickets all year long to see her play, and those who were able to catch her on Friday and Saturday have to feel somewhat cheated. Well I’m sure Wie will hear about this one for the rest of her golf career and it will be interesting to see how she deals with the dilemma next time she is out on the links.
